Description
“Run Back Home” is an installation that tells the story of three children, ages five, eight and eleven, whose short walk from their houses to a park reveals three points of self-awareness as children mature. The Playhouse Square storefront becomes like a picture book with houses depicted in varying perspectives, a window into a city park that is not really a park at all, and a school sink that serves in this story as a fountain. The narrator’s voice reads the story to the viewer through an audio/video projection and ultrasonic speakers give the audience a chance to directly hear the private thoughts of the three children as they play.
